EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP
Since 2016, The Brown House Experience has led impact across under-resourced communities throughout Chicago. Our team brings a wealth of knowledge in early childhood education, mentorship, physical & mental health and so much more.

Tia Brown holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. She also obtained a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Instruction with an emphasis in Reading, as well as a Master’s Degree in Administrative Leadership. After retiring from teaching after 18 years, she works full time with The Brown House Experience creating interactive learning activities for youth. Tia also owns Urban Education Avenue, an educational and non-profit consulting business that caters to the needs of parents, students and schools. Educating youth in a hands-on way is her passion.

Nicole Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics. Nicole continues to work as a Middle Math Teacher at Chicago Public School with 15 years of classroom experience. With The Brown House Experience, Nicole focuses on creating a pipeline of inner-city youth that will be better equipped to enter the STEAM & Trade career fields that will dominate the future.

Donnell grew up in Maywood, Illinois as an athletic star. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science Fitness and Sport from Millikin University, where he excelled as a starting quarterback. After graduation, Donnell moved to Dresden, Germany to play for their professional team. Upon his return to Chicago, he began teaching at elementary and high schools. He excelled as a football coach at multiple high schools and currently owns and operates Athletic Konnection non-profit organization that provides sports and mentoring services to youth, as well as Athletic Konnection Training, which provides elite athletic training to youth across the Midwest.

Melanie is the owner of DyNamic DesignZ By Mel'Sherri, handmade/hand painted jewelry & accessories. I also partner with community organizations providing basic jewelry making & painting workshops for youth, adults & seniors.

Kylie is a recent graduate of Fisk University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Fashion and Design. She is also the owner of Stitched Custom Creations By Chiara.

Rachel Blundy (she/her) works as a learning behavior specialist within Chicago Public Schools. She has been an educator for almost 20 years, teaching in different communities throughout the city, including the south, west, central, and northwest side.

Shanina McCregg is a Chicago native who has an affinity for youth development and advancement. She holds a Bachelors in Communication as well as her M.B.A. and currently works as a marketing professional. In addition, Shanina strongly believes in entrepreneurship which led her to use her God-given talents and start SM Style Lounge, a full-service event and floral design company. When she’s not working or serving in some capacity, Shanina enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Michele was born and raised in Chicago and the suburbs. She works as a manager at a national medical equipment company. Michele is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management.
